Htmland try to download Tears 6.2 and do not forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update.
If that application works as designed, Husband1..0should then automatically run the applications Jewellery 2..0 andFlowers 3.5..

However, remember, overuse of the above application can causeHusband 1.0 to default toSilence 2.5 or Beer 6.1.
Please note that Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will download the Snoring Loudly Beta.

In addition, please do not attempt to reinstall theBoyfriend 5.0 program. These are unsupported applications and will crashHusband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly.
You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance.
We recommend: Cooking 3.0and Good Looks 7.7.

Good Luck Madam!

J&K Trip Day 1 Part 2:

Now we were walking on Residency road towards Raghunath Mandir. It was like a mini commercial Street there with good stores like Wills Lifestyle and Coffee day and also small stores of sweets and even stores of ARMS AND AMMUNITION!!!(No wonder terrorists find arms so easily here). Then we enter Raghunath mandir after depositing our cameras and mobiles in the cloak room. This temple is nothing less than a cheap exhibition which comes in Palace grounds.Atleast people in the exhibition are selling something but here in the temple they are selling god only and his blessings too. Only if u keep money will the priest give u the blessings and Prasad. This temple is also very beautiful but the greediness of the priest puts u off so much that spiritualism does not come at all. And if u are a person like me who is very superstitious then be ready to spend some money at every doorstep.Anyways I think whatever I make is all god’s blessings so giving something back to him or people who take me to him is not bad at all. I also saw Saligram stones over there. These are basically 1000’s of small black stones which are worshipped.Saligram is Abhi’s native place and he says that there is only one Saligram stone and it’s so holy that no one can touch it. But anyways I was very happy to touch the fake saligram’s and seek real blessings for my family and friends.
After this the next stop was a palace called Amar Mahal Palace which was the last place of residence of Dogra Raja’s. This palace looks awesome and it looks like we were in a completely different country. It was very neatly maintained and it had a lot of paintings. Through this I learnt about Nala and Damayanti. Also there are large life size portraits of all the Raja’s and Rani’s which we did take pictures so that I can get something like this done for my palace J,Outside the greenery was awesome and I knew it was picture time. Lots of snaps with different poses and styles and then it was time for us to leave but not before checking out the Raja’s throne made of 50kg pure gold. It was a delight for the eyes. Once we were done with this it was finally the end of our sight seeing of Jammu and we were on our way to Katra.
Routine security checkups were happening on the way but we were enjoying the drive. Good roads and great scenery somewhat reminded me of Coorg. Before I knew I was fast asleep only to be woken up for a treat of ice cream (Kwality mango duet) and mineral water. Once done with the eating time for my sleep again. However pit stop happened again and this time for tea. The place looked really dingy but the tea was good. Now I feel bad that I don’t know the name of the hotel nor did we click any snaps there.30 mins from that hotel and we finally reached our destination our 5 start hotel named “White Orchid”. It’s a superb hotel with all the 5 star amenities and the best part were the toiletries my fav biotique (hehehe I know Ur also like that naah). Anyways after we freshened up I realized something is wrong with our door.Inspite of having a carpenter they could not fix the problem so we changed our room from 426 to 424 (Yeah sexy number according to numerology).First they get our luggage late and now this. Somehow dint get a good start L.By the time we settled down it was already time for our dinner. Our travel agent Nishant came to collect the cash and explained the itenary of the entire trip. It sounds interesting but u know me Ill always have some negative thoughts atleast sometimes.Anyways since our dinner was MAP plan (That’s modified American plan for people who don’t know what that means) we ordered to the fullest and ate till we burped really hard. Not to forget we also went for quiet walks outside the garden and clicked few pictures in the dark and beautiful lit up hilltop. For now day 1 seems really nice and im waiting for day 2 now!!!!Until I write this is Pallavi saying barla!!!!

J&K Trip Day 1 Part 1

So finally my dream trip of Jammu and Kashmir happened.Early morning at 7 was my flight from Bangalore to Delhi. And this time yet another airline. It was jey lite. After bidding adieu to all the family members and friends it was time for us to leave Bangalore. We reached Delhi @ 9:50 and then boarded the flight to Jammu and finally reached here at 11:30.I thought the weather will be either warm or cool but its just like Bangalore. Its really hot and the temp is 31 degrees.Anyways the journey started off on a bad note coz of the vehicle. We wanted a AC Qualis with good seats but then we landed up with a pretty ok Tavera. Now Dolly is stuck with the bad back seats. Our driver Praveen resembles a hindi movie villain.Somehow this entire place is scaring me.Maybe it’s the influence of all the hindi war movies that I have seen. Anyways we have started our journey with the sight seeing of jammu. We came now to Bahu fort.It has a very nice Kali mandir. This reminds me of a temple in Bali. The fort looks really bad and small.Security is always there and is very strict. So we could not take any mobiles and cameras in.Somehow I could not trust these people will all my stuff so I dint give anything at the cloak room.We sent the couple in first and then Me Anil and Dolly went in.We could not see anything there because everything was prohibited there for entry. But the temple was pretty good. Then we went to see a garden called Bagh-E-Bahu.We first spoke to the ticket guy and asked him if there was anything worthy there to see.He conned <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5333880684693491010" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px there was musical fountain.but for our bad luck all that we found there was just hot sun and some shade under the trees. We also saw some localites over there who were enjoying some quiet time for themselves there.Anyways we were already very tired of heat we decided not to see anything else there. Also there was a aquarium shaped like a giant fish which we decided to skip. The view was great with the Tawi river flowing beside the fort.Next when we walked out we saw the local transport. Its the same minivans as in Bangalore. We picked up a bottle of mineral water outside. But thanx to Slumdog Millionaire I was thinking twice before having to pay for the bottle. We just picked one bottle and then headed towards one more temple.
We reached Char Dham. Also in this Chardham temple is Ganga Ghat. The river Tawi was flowing pretty fast here. With just 2 girls who know how to swim in the entire group we just decided to sit around for 5 minutes and then saw the temple. It had 3 giant sculptures. One of Kari <img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5333881687426795778" style="FLOAT: />Ganesha,One hanuman and the other is Vasudeva carrying Balkrishna on his head in the basket. The temple deities again are very sweet looking. One more interesting thing is that all the deities are smiling.Thats when Ani made a point.Gods here are always ever smiling but people are not and its vice versa down south. Also the deities are very big and nice. There is also Amar Jyothi here. This deepa is always lite and its in front of huge lingam. All different avatars of Krishna was there which made me get back to spiritualism.By the time we finished it was already 2 and our stomachs were making noises for food.I just bought a lonely planet thanx to which I came to know about restaurants.
Then we went to Falak which is a roof top restaurant in a nice hotel called K.C.Residency.I was really happy to have found a really good and neat restaurant. But I was in a bigger surprise. This hotel was on the roof top and it was built kind off like outside the building. When we sat I thought the floor was shaking then I was told that the hotel was revolving. So as we sat for our lunch we could see the entire city of Jammu.WOW!!!What a beautiful place.Good food and an excellent view .Awesome selection!!!We saw the Tawi river banks,Raghunath Mandir and even a parrot sitting on a branch while having lunch. With just 1225 all the 5 of us had food till our throats.Thats how full we were. After that it was time for a walk on a busy street called Residency road. What happens after that ill tell u in the next part!!!!

<div u get all the fame, money and happiness that u want!!!!
Now my first movie in 2009....Im very glad that my movie partner abhi is back on his own feet(yeah he had an accident and injured his toe)and to celebrate his wellness we decided to watch a movie. Now we always watch a bad movie with bad reviews so that we can have a nice laugh but i think time had different plans for us!!!
Yeah first we had our respective partners accompany us to the movie. So Shilpa and Somni also came along!!!I was thrilled becoz for me more the people more the fun!!!!
Okie now the second thing is suddenly yesterday PVR online booking just did not take any bookings which forced abhi and shilpa to go to PVR early and buy tickets from the counter for the movie Haage summane...but it was all SOLD OUT ( It was very astonishing coz its supposed to be a crappy movie according to all the reviews ) and then we finally decided to watch Vaaranam Ayiram!!!(Which by the way had also got some really bad reviews)
Abhi agreed coz there was Ramya in the movie and i wanted to watch coz Suriya was in the movie...somni and shilpa just wanted to watch some movie for timepass!!So we went to Europa (First time ) and started off with the movie [The best part i watched the promos for the very first time coz i was not late this time heheheh :-) ]
It started off with Surya (sorry suriya) as a old man...i was surprised it was him but then it was REALLY HIM!!!Thats when i knew i was in for a good movie....It was a long movie in the first part..atleast thats how it felt like....i really liked it coz the movie had a lot of Suriya in the first part and the story was gripping every moment...After the interval Ramya was introduced and thats when i realised that she was a mere second lead in the movie with a song and some 10 scenes....Man she was completely wasted in the movie (Though abhi would not agree im sure of that...hehehehehe..she has completely become boyzone material now!!!!)...anyways as usual im not gonna tell u the story!!!But its one movie that no one should miss...if u dont understand the language please take a translator with u and watch it!!!Its one superb movie with great acting!!!Its about a dad and son..and how fathers are an inspiration to children and what children might become if their parents will trust them!!!
The things to watch out in the movie :
1.Suriya's double acting - One surya is great so u can think wat can happen with two two surya's :-).Its like a double bonanza
2.The small details that they have taken care.It has a lot of retro stuff and flashback. And everything is done absolutely right.Including the marks of hand on the cheek of Surya after he got slapped by a goonda.
3.The costumes that all the actors have worn just to show the time. Its simply amazing and it brings back all the old memories trust me!!!
4.The beautiful way that they have potrayed love and romance and lust (Yeah yeah this is just for the girls!!!)
5.The clothes that Sameera Reddy has worn....she looks really good wearing both Indian and western clothes.
6.Beautiful locales and very nice music (also keeping in ming whether its in the present or the past)
7.The effects of smoking drinking and drugs (which is the most important message in the movie)
8.And finally how actors should cry in the movie.Surya can make anyone cry(including me)-Some actors overact and it makes them look so bad on screen....but trust me surya does it so well it can give all the good actors in our country a run for their tissues...sorry their money :-)
Okie the bad things :
1.Ramya is a complete waste in the movie. She has absolutely no role to play.OK ok thats kinda bad...coz i was expecting her as a herione of the movie.
2.Simran's acting was so good and agian i was expecting a little bit more (A little selfish i know).
3.The editing in the second half is really really really bad!!!They just cut so abruptly....its very sad.
Thats all the bad points i can think about.I know a lot of fanatics will start writing bad comments because its a Tamil movie...so let me tell something to all those people...my writing is not for people like u who differentiate languages so dont even think about commenting on this!!!!
And all my friends...please feel free to write anything u want!!!
In a way i was very very glad that i did not get tickets for Haage sumanne...Thanx PVR for having a bad online booking website!!!!
Until my next movie this is Pallavi saying Barla!!!!

Rab ne banadi jodi!!!!

Ok after the famous (*wink*) review of Dil kabaddi...i know u must be waiting for this movie...and so without any further delay here i present RAB NE BANADI JODI!!!
Now most of my friends know that i dont like SRK (as an actor...i somehow don't like him) but there is one thing that i always do..i watch almost ALL his movies first day first show.Somehow this is a habit (yeah im a big bollywood fan if u still haven't got that). And i had decided i had to watch this movie coz it was Adi chopra's direction and had SRK in it.

Yesterday in a interview to a new channel SRK said "Me and adi think that this is Rab's (God) movie and he has made this movie so we have not promoted it as much as we should do."I thought wow this is surprising and also i should watch this movie. So i decided to book tickets and send messages to RJ Rakesh pleading him to book tickets. At first he said "8 tickets!!!Difficult Pallu..its first day first show"(This was my first sign). Then he got it done (Wat a dahling he is!!!)
and i was sooper thrilled.I started calling all my friends to ask who woulod join me for the movie.Believe it or not...not one friend of mine was ready to come. and my forever movie partner had to ditch me coz he had broken his leg..the rest of them had all vague reasons (This was my second sign). Finally the famous 8 were ready for the movie(I will not bore u with the other details).
The D day..12th december 2008
My voice was completely gone and i was unable to get up early in the morning(This was my third sign)...and somehow left home being sure that i will miss the starting AGAIN!!!On the way car met with a small accident(This was my fourth sign)....But finally i reached the cinema hall 40 mins late!!!!
I asked Vijay (ma friend and great SRK fan) howz the movie...he smiled and somehow i knew i was in for a surprise...by the time i entered the changed SRK was on screen...and trust me by the end of the interval i was glad i missed the starting 40 mins.
I knew the Rab himself gave me 4 signs to get away from the torture but no i had to watch it!!!!
As usual i will not tell u the story (actually almost all know what the story is!!!)but i will tell u wat not to look out for:
1.A different love story (It has the usual arranged marriage-no love between the two-something to create love and chemistry kinda story)
2.The usual SRK comedy(I've never got so irritated with punjabi jokes as much i have got with this movie...and i think SRK cant pull off the irritating punjanbi act)
3.Chemistry between SRK and the herione(It's just not part of the story duh!!!)
4.Good locales (No romantic song so no switzerland!!!)
Over all i think the movie is a total waste of 150/-
But just in case u have to watch the movie coz u really HAVE TO watch a bollywood movie ill also tell u what u can look out for :
1.Anushka's salwar (I think its really beautiful)
2.A lesson on what kind off dressing style does not suit men (Both the avataar's of SRK in the movie are bad)
3.Also a lesson on how bad a couple can look when a 40 year old is married to (oops cast opposite) a 19 year old.
4.Some dostana kind off jokes between bobby (Vinay pathak) and Suri/Raj (SRK)
5.Good songs and choreography (especially the hum hain rahi pyar ke song)
6.Free sight seeing of Amritsar.
7.Finally Japan (yeah u have to watch the entire movie TILL THE END to know why)

So if u really are a HUGE HUGE SRK fan maybe you will like the movie....but if ur a bollywood fan its a disappointment...For me two out of three khans have failed to create any kind of cinema magic im just waiting for the final one to release.

Oh yeah also after this movie Japan Government has decided to award SRK with the highest citizenship award for promoting tourism through this movie :-)
Now why am i saying this ul know if u have the patience to sit through this movie like me.
(PS:If u really wanna watch the movie completely go with a huge SRK fan...why???Go and you will understand)
So all the best to watch the movie and until my next movie hum hain rahi pyar ke..phir milenge..chalte chalte
(PS :If ur thinking why i have changed the last line of my blog then let me tell u this is one bad side effect of watching this movie :-)
Barla!!!!

Dil Kabaddi!!!

Thats right when i was completely bored yesterday i decided i had to watch a movie and then veda (Our producer) said that there are some tickets for tomo's show (okie now its a little confusing naah!!!yesterday was 4th dec and tomo is 5th dec okie). The tickets were for the first day first show for the movie dil Kabaddi!!!I thought what a weird but funny name. Then i realised this movie stars my two Fav stars- Konkana sen and Rahul bose and that too together!!!
(Wow another Mr and Mrs Iyer maybe is a pyar ke side effects kinda movie..i was sooper excited).I was supposed to give those tickets on air immediately at 7 coz the show was at 10 (okie now technically i knew not many would come and pick the tickets at 7 in the night so i was sure to get atleast 2 tickets!!!yipee!!!)
I gave them away on fataafat kusti and voila almost all of them agreed to come and collect the tickets at 11 in the night also (Damn!!!).But then i was expecting atleast one person not to come and voila at 11 in the night i got the call from reception...our very sweet security Mr.Ravi called and said 'Madam tickets ide neevu hogthira beligge???'.
At 11 in the night i started to call friends who were ready to come and my obvious first choice is my forever movie partner my bro Abhi.We agreed we'll go and pretty happy that i was going to see Rahul and konkana i slept.
The next morning!!!
Movie is at 10 and since 7 in the morning im using the snooze button in the mobile and trying to wake up.Finally at 8 30 i decided to get out and was at PVR at 10:20.BUt then the free tickets are not so easy to get u see.The manager made us go about one entire turn and then finally i entered the movie hall at 10:30 (Damn!!!Im always late!!!Missed half hour of a 2 hour movie)
As soon as i entered i saw Soha ali khan and the guy who was Kabir's friend in Chak de India (Sorry i forgot his name both in real and reel life)...anyways i once turned back and asked whether we were in the correct movie hall!!!yeah we were and i thought 'wow soha looks nice but is acting weird though'.Anyways sat and thoroughly yenjoyed the movie.
Now this movie is about relationships and marriage. Its actually about urban marriages.Relationships between husband and wife,Extra marital affairs,Crushes with students wayyy below their age,Infactuatuions,Cheating on spouses, flirting and finally getting back to the place where they belong. This movie has everything that is there in a bad marriage or should i say wrong marriage.
Now what is the story of the movie im not gonna tell u but as i said the movie contains all the above elements in it!!!U should watch the movie for these reasons:
1.What will happen if u try and control ur husbands every move.
2.What will happen if u try and have an extra marital affair and that too with a bimbo
3.What will happen if u try and suspect everything that ur husbands does and says
4.What will happen if u have a crush on someone way out of ur league.
Now lets talk about performances:
Rahul Bose :Great actor but no scope for his acting in this movie.BUt as an art teacher no one else could have played it better than him.And yeah as usual he kisses even in this movie but surprisingly not konkana but some chick who is supposed to be 21.
Konkana sen Sharma : She is a perfect actress .She has potrayed a role which is true.I mean most women are like her ( i mean the role she has played in the movie SIMI).U should watch the movie atleast for that. The director has put all the women characters in one woman Simi.
Irrfan Khan: Very very irritating in the movie.Maybe coz i dint like the character he played in the movie.Very bad.
Soha ali Khan : Looks very pretty and yeah acted also well. She is a typical house wife (bharatiya naari kinds)who forgives her husband even though he has had an extra marital affair and refuses to talk to her in public.I mean who does such things now yaar.
Payal Rohatgi: My god if u think she was irritating and sad in Bigg boss she has beaten that character with this character called Kaya.Man Irfan is the perfect Rahul for her (In the movie i mean). She is just plain IRRITATING.And she looks like a perfect hrrr (u know what im trying to say naah!!).Man i hate her even more now.
There are some more characters in this movie and i dont think they are that important to discuss but yeah that 21 year ols raaga in the movie has inspired me with a new look.I should get a nose ring soon.It looks good and the people who wanna look arty (yeah like the art and theatre and play types) should take a look at her.She looks good and looks arty too....So in the end i would say what irrfan said in the movie ( Actually i would rephrase it a bit )
Writing for the sake of writing is bad!!!!
Now what did he say in the movie which sounds like this.....u should watch it urself.

Until i see the next movie...this is Pallavi saying Barlaa!!!!
And BTW Abhi hated the movie..he said navagraha (Kannada) was much better than this...Abhi commonnnnnn
Car Pooling!!!

U know i think a year ago we saw a small article on TOI about car pooling and that time i thought this was a brilliant idea.I mean a person who made this thinks about bangalore so much.Hats off to Mr.Vipul..i still remember his photograph(he sitting inside a car). That day i even put him on air..and asked him some questions about car pooling.Thats when Pavi came up with a great idea of doing the entire car pooling event on air..We even did it for 2 weeks....but after that the fizz was out...not many banglorians are open to the idea (not that they have changed now).

Then as usual complaining about traffic every single day...yelling at Police and ofcourse yelling at others continued and increased day to day!!!U know if one person has to go a small shop which is 200 mts away they use a car.People go to gym to be fit and they use their car ( Cant they just walk and finish the warm up) not only that a lot of peolpe who go to parks and lakes for walk also come by car and then start walking (again cant they walk and finish it there).I mean everyone is adding to the problem ( but no one wants to accept it!!Oie enough gyaan!!!)

Today we have made an attempt to decongest the city(ditto copy from our studio liner).Actually its a choice that we have given to all...u wanna use it or not its completely left to u but then the choice is given.Thats car pooling.Instead of 4 people who go to the same office from almost the same place using 4 cars we give them a platform to get together and use only one car. With this we are helping from our end to cut the traffic down.

Its a superb idea..atleast for a short term until the metro is done and we have nice public transport system (atleastthats wat our additional commissioner of Police said ).We can make new friends and have fun while driving.NOt only that a lot can be saved...first energy (coz one week only u have to drive in a month if u have 3 others)..then money (u spend just about 14rs per lt petrol instead of 57rs) and then stress levels will also come down.Wow all of this with just one small initiative...man internet rocks.

Now i know that no one can car pool with me coz my timings is a little odd but nontheless i have registered and hoping one more person will come along. The rest of u common login to www.commuteeasy.com and register...Who knows maybe ur next friend is waiting for u!!!!

Until our next CSR this is Pallavi saying Barla!!!!

The Day i met Kapil Dev

Yeah i know a dream come true for a true cricket fan.The day is today.21st November 2008.My dad called and asked if the news was true.So did my bro and even my next door uncle.Everyone was super excited that i was meeting the man who was solely resposible for the great world cup win (i know i know i was not even born then..).All of us were getting ready to meet him.I was a little disappointed that he was not on my show....but then its ok i still got to talk to him.The bats, balls and stumps were ready!!!Arrey not for a match but for his autograph(i remembered the scene in Iqbal movie when we were asking him to sign) and so was the cake for him.
Finally after a lot of wait he arrived!!
Wat a personality..as he was walking the only thing i was thinking is" he is the man..he is just THE MAN".Yeah as a official welcome we all clapped for him as he walked and gave him a bompu horn welcome also (yeah radio one is wacky). He was just taken aback and he asked 'is everything ok?'
Yeah those were the first words of his...wow..he should have been on radio instead(very very husly voice..remember the Palmolive ad???).Then he headed straight to the studio for the Interview with Pavithra.
Very sweety he answered all the questions and very humbly he answered all the questions.
I will try and post all the answers in the next blog but one answer i remember is this:
Pavi : Who is the one cricketer that u like the most now?
KD: In the present team i really like Dhoni. The reason is simple he just does wat his heart tells him to do.He is very passionate about the game and is very humble and honest.
Wow a great cricketer just like him talking so high about another crciketer..u dont see such things nowadays. The thing that i loved about paaji is he was also very very honest about all that he said.
U know Pavi said namaskaara bengaluru in one link and he asked why begaluru and not bangalore.I mean we were all arguing with him saying its for good...and the only thing he said in the end was this "we are all Indians first and thats wat we need to believe. Its bigger than anything else including religion.Dont force anyone to do anything.Live and let live
(I can still hear all the things that he said in my head.)Why dont you all start a debate as to wat we want Bangalore to be called as.You do have the most important tool.Voice and people who listen to you".
We all had nothing to say.And the he just said no matter wat u cant convince me.But thats wat we are.We allow people to push us to limits. What he said was absolutely right. At that point i thought he is not only a great cricketer but also a great human being.
Then we continued asking him some fun questions like whom he wants to kiss on world kiss day and he sang a song for us Kiss kiss kisse pyar karoon (And we played it!!!).How he bowled his wife over and loads of other questions. After that we atlast let him go (though we dint want to).
Not before we all stood with him for a photograph and even though i made it very clear i needed a single photo with him everyone came and stood beside me (jealous!!!!).
WE then made him cut a cake and that time i stood with him for a photograph.I even told him that i am the official cake cutter in the company. So he made me cut the cake with him..very very sweet man who hates sweet by the way and loves samosas(damn wat a day not to get them)!!
But then it was a great time with a great man...Would love to meet him again!!!
So until we meet again and i write again this is Pallavi saying ba bye!!!
(Yeah yeah i am a />
Now this weekend im again going to coorg so i thought before that ill write wat happend in the house.U see now i belong to a family called mandetira(yeah thats the name and i am a coorgi oopss kodavati now).I thought a family filled with people maybe a max of 10 or 15 people might turn up.But i was in for a shock. The entire family living was there to welcome me in the family and i was very very happy.I was told that the older aunts and uncles are very very strict (atleast that was the case in my family) but i was in for a surprise.Almost 50 people of all ages were there. They cooked and spoke and me being the new entry just sat and sat and sat and also looked at them and smiled when i understood atleast a little of wat they were talking.God it was so boring sitting and doing absolutely nothing.

Thats when it struck to me about the book i had in the car.Richard Branson's biography"how i lost my virginity"(Yeah the title sounds bizzare but its an awesome book read it if u have not).So i sat down reading that book and thats when they also realised that i was getting bored and decided to give me a tour.In madikeri there is a lot to see.So i went and saw pigs(yeah yeah they are bred at home)and coffee estates where oranges, sweetlimes and pepper is grown.Trust me they thought people from bangalore are dumb and have not seen anything but buildings. And i could do nothing but listen and nod my head(actually i was also laughing inside when they showed me a dog and said "see see Pallavi thats a dog ").
By the time i was back cooking was done and man the entire family got together for the pooja.I was amazed when i dint see a poojari.I thought he was somewhere in the room but no the pooja was not the elaborate one.The head of the family just spoke a few words and offerred food and drink to god and then it was over. Now time to drink and eat and how can i forget dance.
This is kodava culture and they seem very very happy about this.Everything is just so different here(Including the way they drink coffee they dont drink filter coffee and no idea wat that means). No matter wat happens there are always there for the family members. And not to forget the food is soooo yummy. Having met so many people all together its a great feeling. In the age of nuclear families having such a big family is so great.Im looking forward for the next meet. And hopefully by then ill also learn how to talk coorgi and instead of reading i can converse. So until the next meeting this is Pallavi saying 'Barla'

Coorg trip

I know its a little late to write but wat to do Deepavali is a big festival and dint get time to write at all.Anyways i went to coorg last weekend and it was awesome. We left bangalore exactly at 5AM(yeah i woke up realllllly early). And then as usual as Som was driving and Ani was clicking photos as much as possible.Bangalore is so beautiful in the morning.I dont remember when was the last time i saw Bangalore so beautiful. No vehicles on the road and chill breeze.WOW!!it was heaven. That was more than enough to put me to sleep. But then Ani was clicking photos so the damn flask kept waking me up(not that i was complaining coz the sky was beautiful).Anyways the only time i woke up was when we reached Indra dhanush(trust me till date i thought that place was called Indraprasta..no idea why).Ate my fav pongal there(its yummmyyyy).and then Slept again in the car(yeah yeah i sleep a lot when im travelling...im borrrrinnnggg).I woke up again in Madikeri...Man i miss that place already.IT was a nice morning(yeah we were there by 10).DRove again from Madikeri to Bagamandala.
Bagamandala is a place where 3 rivers are supposed to meet but only two meet (no idea why actually).Had a nice COllllddd chill dip in the river and then headed towards the temple there. It looks like twin brother of dhramastala temple.seriously its just the same.Only difference is the idols worshipped there...The place is very clean and maintained well (actually it was built recently and i think people have not got the time yet to spoil it*grin*).Hmm after that next stop 8kms later at talacauvery.
Talacauvery the place is just pure magic. Its on top of a hill and its like u are in heaven. The place is so peaceful and again SO SO NEAT!!!There is greenary everywhere and its a paradise for people who love nature. And again a dip in the cold and dirty water(cauvery sankrama just got over so the dirt still there inside kalyani) and then went to finish pooja.I had the purest form of cauvery water.Yeah its very very tasty and sweet.During the entire trip it was raining!!!yeah yeah full mungaru male flash back.
The entire place was covered with fog within minutes we reached there. It was completely beautiful!!!Man and the weather there is soooooo kooollll best time to go to coorg now!!!!
After this i went to aiyya house. This is Som's grandfather's house. Our entire family was there to celebrate the unity. We cooked together had so much fun together. Now wat hpnd in the house its gonna come next.Until then stay locked!!!

Man i can never get out of the radio mood naah!!!
23rd October

Another nice day to begin with. For a change i woke up early and dint sleep off back again (yeah that last 5 mins sleep of mine can go on for hours ).Anyways came to office at 2.Today has been a pretty boring day.i had no mood of doing the show today at all.One reason is that there were too many ads today on our station and that was driving me crazy.(like anyone would care alwa..thats the revenue we have).
I dint speak much on air coz i had no time to talk at all.Thats when this small boy called Rahul called me.Since i dint have to talk on air i thought i could spend time talking to him. He's a 12 year old boy who goes to tution and is back home exactly at 5 just to listen to my show (now u can see me smile showing my teeth also). He called me for a request and since i was not recording for requests yet i said i could call him back if he gave me a number.Thats when i heard the one rupee coin booth sound he wanted to say something but then the line got disconnected.I dint realise for my timepass i was talking to a boy who was talking to me through payphone.God knows how much money he would have spent talking to me and i could not even record his voice.I can still remember the disappointment in his voice.
Yeah it made me feel very very guilty(There are so many people who call and msg me and then i wil not be able each and everyone on air thats the reason i always give myself and it is the truth.Today i answered all the calls i got just in a slight hope that maybe one call will be of that small boy Rahul(yeah my fav name too) and i could play his request.
I waited and answered all the calls but then alas no such luck today for me.Today has been a good day for me in a way coz i recieved close to 1000 msgs for Ulta seedha fataafat (again another game where im giving cash this diwali). No good news is able to cheer me up.
By writing this im just trying to get that guilt out but also a slight hope that maybe since im accepting this he might just call.No idea when he will be able to get in touch with me again.I shall wait.
One more thing for today i've realised how much people spend just to talk to RJ's and i dont think we all realise it until just one 12 year old comes into our life naah.
Talking in singular is BADDDDDDD

Hello all today the 17th of october is a hectic day for me.Since morning only working [no time to rest dammnnn :-( but no complaints].I had a show for AMW trucks in the morning. It was a press conference [and about 30 people in a hall for 5000 people lolz :-)] and then siddarth [my nephew,my life] was also at home so was very eager to meet him and be with him for sometime. So watever energy i had went for this.Today i had no mood to work [no energy naah thats y *grin*]but u know the beauty of my work is that when ur down all the love showered by my friends [listeners] will give me extra energy to do my work much much better.

Now i came to studio and as usual first reply to all the fan mails i get and at that time i came across one mail.It was a girl who is ardent radio listener[meaning she listens to other radio stations also *frown*]who loves the way i am on radio but basically she loves the wat Prithvi speaks. She has one complaint that she hates it when i speak to people in singular.Meaning i say yen beku ninge or yaarige dedicate maadthiddiya!!
She wants me to address everyone like they are elders. She thinks if i speak to them in singular then its not classy or its not refined kannada. She thinks speaking to them in singular will be disrespecful and everyone needs to be addressed with dignity.I have been on Radio One for the last 2.5 years and in the last two months this is the 2nd mail i have received with such a complaint.Im completely confused!!!
I think when i can talk to my friends like that why cant i talk to listeners that way.Why should i be so formal with them.I mean there are a lot of people who call and mail me and tell me they like the way i speak coz im not formal [Basically im angry and frustrated here *angry face*].I agree when i speak to elders i should not be this way but common how can i speak to a 12 year old or a 27 year old like they are my grandmoms.I have a lot of listeners who have become very close to me and tell their secrets and problems to me.They think that i am one in their circle and talk to me like a friend.I am from a circle of friends and family who love one another for the person they are.And i have never thought of being formal with anyone especially the people whom i care the most [that includes my listeners too].But this mail has changed everything.

I know the entire city is listening to me and i have to be perfect but then i never thought the language i spoke to get people to like me itself is turning its back. Now i have become this person who does not know how to speak in public and yeah after reading all this i have become very very conscious of wat i speak and how i speak.Thats true yaar when i speak to a person on air i always have this thing in the back of my mind.No singular and i end up mixing a lot of things [yeah sometimes even i fumble].Now u guys tell me wat im doing is right or wrong. If u think talking to someone in singular [That does not include elders 40 years and above] is wrong then i will stop doing that and become so called refined [even though i hate doing that].If u think its not wrong then [*happy grin*]ill mail this to the girl and give her proof that not everyone thinks the same.
15th October 2008 NIce Day

It was a great day altogether. All my contests went well including Goldwinner One lakh fataafat and i had so much of response it was overwelming. The contestants could not answer simple questions like what is fish farming called (answer given was fishing and i was laughing so much when i heard that ) and also which state is associated with the garba form of dance(answer given was karnataka .Gosh dint expect that ).Anyways it is so easy to win one lakh but wat to do when someone is nervous they forget EVERYTHING.
Anyways i was having fun on the show as usual and i think even my friends (thats my listeners by the way ) got to know i was in a good mood.Came Fataafat 8 @ 8 ( My very famous request show *grin* ) exactlty at 8 o clock and believe it or not every single person who came on air started complimenting me (i was reallyyyyyy happy ) and started dedicating songs to me.I was thrilled and it actuallu showed in my voice (yeah i was veryyyyyy happy)
And then excatly at 8 40 came a stinker msg from one listener of mine who religiously sends atleast one msg EVERY single day.It said this:
ONE PALLAVI THIS IS ONLY FOR U OK! U PICK UP EVERY OTHER SMS WHICH BRINGS U A COMPLIMENT BUT U NEVER PICK UP MINE WHEN I COMPLIMENT U ON SO MANY THINGS. ITS REALLY VERY BAD OF U N U HAVE HURT A TRUE LISTENER OF UR SHOW. KNOW SOMETHING, I STEAL TIME OUT OF MY PACKED SCHEDULE OF TAKING CARE OF MY KIDS N LISN TO UR SHOW, BUT U HAVE NEVER SHOWN ANY COURTESY. I HAVE BEEN SMSING U SO MANY TIMES. I GUESS THIS IS MY WORST EVER SMS TO U.
The minute i read it i was thinking why did this happen to me on this nice day.In a way she was right coz there are so many people that make their time to listen to my show and send a msg and make me a part of their life. But then i dint expect a msg like this on the day when i was so happy. This one msg made me realise how close we can get to someone. She has come over to our studio a lot of times. Her two children are very very sweet. Her elder daughter is around 5 i think and she will always imitate me and i find that so cuteee. But then she was so frustrated that i had not called her and put her on air for the last two weeks.
After playing my last song i was thinking of calling her but then all these thoughts were running in my mind.Is she ever gonna talk to me?Why is she so angry that a person who loves me so much can send such a stinker?
For the first time i could hear my own heart beat when i dialled her number. She answered and her voice was shivering. That time i knew she was almost about to cry.She considered me her good friend and she kept sending msgs every single day and i dint show any concern. That was her complaint.I dint know wat to tell her.I had 100 thoughts but then none were coming out of my mouth. How do i explain to her wat was the real problem!!!
I let her talk watever she wanted to.I wanted that frustration out of her system before i could justify.A tear ot two rolled out of her eye when she was talking to me (which made me so guilty). But then i had to take all wat she was giving me.Ultimately once she was done i explained how difficult it is for me every single day to pick just one msg from 100's of msgs that i get.MOre than explaining things to her at one time i felt i was trying to justify myself to her (i was scared wat if she will stop listening to me).At the end of the conversation ( which lasted almost 15 mins and Anjaan was getting really irritated that i was still in the studio during his show) she was happy and i apologised to her saying i will for sure call her and keep in touch with her and her family. Then she said something very nice."A person who is very close to me and whom i listen to every single minute without missing anything if she will not show any concern then it will hurt naah"
This one sentence made me realise how much radio has reached people.Just 2 years ago i had selected people in my life and now people have selected me to be a part of their life and they also just like my friends will be hurt if i dont shower the same attention and love.
So all my friends i promise no matter wat everyone of u will be a integral part of my life. And thanx so much for making me a part of ur life :-)

Kannada

U know the most interesting thing happened to me on air today.Even though we play only hindi songs a lot of people who speak kannada love to listen to it coz along with kannada music they need their daily dose of bollywood too.Our main aim was to capture those people who love kannada language and love hindi music [example ME :-)].BUt today when i was going through messages that i recieved one msg read
FATAFAT WHY DONT YOU'LL TALK IN ENGLISH OR HINDI? ALWAYS KANADA?ITS A BOLLYWOOD STATION,FOR GOD'S SAKE
Thats right our kannada people want us to talk in english or hindi it was very surprising.I know the number and the person very well coz i have put him on air before and he speaks kannada very well but then never have i faced anything like this.Every single day we get mails saying that kannada is dying and no one is talking it and no one wants to speak this beautiful language coz according to them its not their status.I love my language and i know i will always have high respect for it.Its very surprsing to see that college going kids now dont want to speak our language nor do they want to listen to it.Dont know wat bangalore will become by the time i have children.

Being in Twenties

1) It is when you stop going along with the crowd and start realizing, that there are many things about yourself that you didn't know and may not like.
2) You start feeling insecure and wonder where you will be in a year or two, but then get scared because you barely know where you are now.
3) You start realizing that people are selfish and that, maybe, those friends that you thought you were so close to aren't exactly the greatest people you have ever met, and the people you have lost touch with are some of the most important ones. What you don't recognize is that they are realizing that too, and aren't really cold, catty, mean or insincere, but that they are as confused as you.
4) You look at your job... and it is not even close to what you thought you would be doing, or maybe you are looking for a job and realizing that you are going to have to start at the bottom and that scares you.
5) Your opinions have gotten stronger. You see what others are doing and find yourself judging more than usual because suddenly you realize that you have certain boundaries in your life and are constantly adding things to your list of what is acceptable and what isn't. One minute, you are insecure and then the next, secure.
6) You laugh and cry with the greatest force of your life. You feel alone and scared and confused. Suddenly, change is the enemy and you try and cling on to the past with dear life, but soon realize that the past is drifting further and further away, and there is nothing to do but stay where you are or move forward.
7) You get your heart broken and wonder how someone you loved could do such damage to you. Or you lie in bed and wonder why you can't meet anyone decent enough that you want to get to know better. Or maybe you love someone but love someone else too and cannot figure out why you're doing this because you know that you aren't a bad person. One night stands and random hook ups start to look cheap. Getting wasted, and acting like an idiot starts to look pathetic.
8) You go through the same emotions and questions over and over, and talk with your friends about the same topics because you cannot seem to make a decision. You worry about loans, money, the future and making a life for yourself... and while winning the race would be great, right now you'd just like to be a contender! What you may not realize is that every one reading this relates to it.
We are in our best of times and our worst of times, trying as hard as we can to figure this whole thing out. Send this to your twenty-something friends... maybe it will help someone feel like they aren't alone in their state of confusion... We call it the "Quarter-life Crisis."

This is so true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do women listen!!

U know wat there a question i asked on the other forums...do women really listen..according to me they hardly listen..yeah yeah im saying that on personal experience....i only listen if i want to..i mean i listen to people only whom i want to listen to...ma friend says this:Its just a myth like the white elephant, women do listen, but the problem is they talk more which gives them less time to listen. So they talk more and hence listen less ;)
Another friend says this:
We listen to every word they say the only thing this men think women dont listen. We make our points and use it when the time is right. Strike Iron when its hot...
I found it damn right but then is it?
Hmm i know too many questions to think about but then see i agree women talk a lot i talk too...but then we do listen sometimes...according to me most of the time all the others talk utter rubbish especially people who want to be noticed...i try listening to them but then they dont make any sense at all...i feel the same when i sit for some of the meetings in our office ....a lot of ideas are asked and said..not to fotget will be promised to put in place too but then nothing happens...after so much of listening if there is no use why should anyone be put through the exercise again?
And i dont understand one more thing why is this expectation only from women...why should women always listen..no one will complain if men talk tooooo much and dont listen at alll...hmm i really dont hear any complaints!!!!
